NMIO National and Global Integration Efforts NMIO integrates and optimizes the Global Maritime Community of Interest's (GMCOI) efforts to achieve and maintain holistic Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA). MDA is the effective understanding of anything associated with the maritime domain that could impact our security, economy, or environment. The GMCOI includes U.S. federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial governments; the private sector; academia; and our foreign partners. The NMIO works with GMCOI members to close analytic and collection gaps, deliver interagency collaboration and information sharing solutions, advise interagency policy development, and seek out transformative technologies that advance unity of effort. |
